Turkish Delights

Chanel PreFall 2011 'Paris-Byzance' Invitation

Karl transformed the iconic Rue Cambon store into a living room straight from the Ottoman Empire

The Byzantine-inspired Collection (which is an homage to Coco Chanel's taste in jewelry) is full of chunky jewelry embellished with colourful stones, rich tweeds and sheer silks, and plenty of shimmering gold pieces.
For the event, Chanel's Rue Cambon couture studios in Paris were transformed into a Turkish tea shop with gold coloured walls, low seating and opulent furnishings to complement the collection's decadent Byzantine theme.
I'm sooo in love with the Collection. I love everything, dresses, coats, jackets, jewelry, hairstyles... It's so gorgeous, what do you think???
